Jazz me up.

I'm in the process of making a nice byzantine weave necklace in dolly size. Weee! I got my stainless steel rings from Beadsisters yesterday, so I was able to start doing stuff! But that meant that I put aside my choker experiments. Which was a good thing as I don't have any pink thread to do the next choker... I hardly ever have the need for pink thread, so I have none. Blargh. Need to go into town on Tuesday I think, as I should be off then, and the little sewing shop should be open.

Pan says hi, with the first experimental choker (that you can't really see fully):
And this is the one that has been put away for the time being:
And what I am working on at the moment:

You can see the short strands of byzantine, which will be the chain, but between the strands there will be the larger rings with the red glass beads inside the ring. I hope it looks as good as I think it will! xD

I didn't want to just make this a non piccy post, that's why the random in-progress pictures- I didn't manage to take presentable pictures of Pan with the finished choker, so that has to be for some other time.

RANT TIME.
Gooood looord how incompetent do you have to be to leave the front door open to the house that you are showing around, if your main duties in your job involve opening doors, showing people around houses and CLOSING DOORS?!?!?! AAAARGH! So, yeah, uh. We had a viewing for the house we are living in a couple of days ago, and this woman from our agency came to show this random family the house, right? Well, she came, she showed, and she DID NOT CLOSE THE FRONT DOOR! WTF!??!!? If me and my house mate wouldn't have been home, we could have been robbed blind! Seriously! How incompetent do you really need to be to not close ONE frikkin door!? But at least the next day when I called them to shout at their incompetence, they FINALLY, after about three months, called the landlord and got him to come in the next day, to have a look at the washing machine. WOW. All it took was them to fuck up and then we get the landlord to come over? Great. I hate agencies. Complete shite. I wish we could afford our own home. All we need is to win the lottery for that to happen... Sigh.

Damn. I'm annoyed again. I think I'll put some NCIS on and continue with my necklace. Aloha!

Will I ever learn?

I don't think so. Around 3, maybe 4 o'clock, I decided that I wanted to take some pictures of my big girl. The light was going away, but I figured I still had enough light from the window and the normal lamps to have somewhat okay pictures. Well, I started taking photos and I checked what they looked like on the camera- not too bad, so I continued. I took maybe 40 pictures, which isn't that much for me as I delete the blurry ones etc. later on on the computer. Hmmm. When I get to the computer- ohmigaaaawd the bloody horror! They looked absolutely crap (in my opinion) on the computer and trying to make them even a weeenie bit more presentable just made them grainy as hell. Will I ever learn to not take photos when there isn't proper daylight? Probably not. The only picture that I actually feel okay with is one that I ended up making even grainier and blurrier than it was originally.

Lo and behold! (The stupidity thy name is me!)

Maybe I should take up a photo challenge or something to make me pick up the camera more often when there actually is light...

I've been searching for pictures of Jessica Rabbit again. you know what I came across? Cosplayers. Cosplaying Jessica Rabbit. With NO BOOBS. Can I just say; ''WTF is WRONG with you?!!?!?'' Jessica Rabbit is ALL about the boobs, waist line and hips. And yeah, legs. But to not have massive boobs? That is just sacrilegious. If you don't have 'em, you stuff your dress with several pairs of bras, and massive amount of socks. You don't just go around without a massive rack if you are Jessica Rabbit! I'd love to cosplay Mrs. Rabbit, but I haven't got the dress for it, but most importantly, I don't have a waist cinching corset- 'cos my waist isn't small enough and I can't make my boobs look disproportionate to my waist by just using socks. (I have tried, just to see if I could do the cosplay without a corset. <_<;;)

 Buuuut anyhoo. On my quest for Mrs. Rabbit pics I came across this gem;

Oh my gaaawd I love Star Wars! xD This is 'Dirty old Yoda strikes again! colour'  by Hackman23 on DeviantArt

And that's all folks!

Back? Again?

Long time no see bloggy.

I've been working waaaaay too much in the past months- last three months I have been working 6-7 days a week, with 7 being the norm. Doesn't really leave much room for anything especially if you have to commute for about 4 hours a day... But oh well. My choice- need to money as we will be moving to London at the end of the year. Or to the vicinity. Depends what sorta place we find and at what price. We have quite a bit of stuff so we can't just take the tiniest, cheapest box that we can find. Need some bloody space maaan!

I managed to make a BJD necklace a day ago- I'll most likely be putting it up for sale as it isn't quite Pan's style.

It's made with silver plated and gold plated rings if I remember correctly- I ordered them quite a while ago, so I'm not 100% sure about that. And here it is on Pan:

Can't quite see the gold in that picture can you? :/ Pan is also wearing the experimental wig that I made a little while back and that still needs a trim. I'm not that pleased with it as you can see the weave a bit too much, but it's okay for some pictures every now and then.

I ordered more jewellery stuff, so I will be making more jewellery and learning different sorts of stuff! I spent part of my evening today getting rid of this wire that I have by practicing how to make wire bead chains, wire cages, etc. Obviously it turns out that practice is a great idea, as I have not done this shit before. I think I might need to get a better set of pliers though, if I am to make lots of jewellery, as I already have a blister on my finger from making the necklace and some other bits and bobs. Uuups.

My citrus plants are looking quite okay! (Can't remember if I have mentioned them before, but I started growing lemon and orange from seeds that I got from store bought fruit. I think all of the seeds sprung up which was a shock...) The three biggest ones are about 10-15cm, and the smallest is only about 2cm, which is a bit funny, as the smallest one sprung up maybe a week or two after the first ones. And all of them have been growing for... 4-5 months now? Weird. But they are looking quite nice, but I have no idea which ones are lemon, and which ones are orange. Not that it really matters, as I am growing them more for the fun of it, and to have something to look at.

Anyboo, time to go! Nighty-night, good morning, or wonderful day to all!

About to snore.

I'm really, really tired at the moment, as I've been working 'hard' again. AKA just working, but having to take long commutes- but this time at stupid-o-clock in the morning, so I've been completely dead.

This is probably gonna be a very short post, as I really needed to do, was to show off the movie I bumped into. :3 So if you haven't heard of it, or seen it, I'd recommend you give 'Life in a Day' a go. Very nice movie. But my judgement might be slightly impaired as my brains ceased functioning about four hours ago. I apologise for any weird sentence structures or misspelled words that might occur during this post. Anyhoo- the movie; very nice, relaxing, easy watch. Give it a go as it is an interesting watch into human life. If I don't make sense, or you want to know more, this is what they say in the description of the movie;

"On July 24th, 2010, thousands of people around the world uploaded videos of their day to YouTube to take part in Life in a Day, a historic cinematic experiment to create a documentary about a single day on earth.

Oscar winning director Kevin Macdonald whittled down over 4500 hours of footage into a 90-minute film that wowed audiences at the Sundance Berlin and SXSW Film Festivals earlier this year."

So, if you are interested to see what this thing is.... Ta-dah!

OR you might wanna go into it's official page~ Life in a Day
Give it a go and tell me what you think; was I sleep deprived and crazy, or did I actually stumble on gold? xD

Adios amigos, I'm off to bed!

Getting excited about games...

Been working a lot lately- there's a project going on at work, and unfortunately the client wants the game done asap, but there is so much to check that the deadline that we've got is absolutely ridiculous. I've felt a bit stressed, as I've been the only one testing in my language for a while, so I've had to speed through the thing, which is not nice, as that means that things are more likely to get missed. Oh well. It's their call if they wanna rush it... *Sigh* Luckily I did have some help for the last few days, so a lot more has been checked now, but it's still not perfect yet. I wish I'll have someone with me tomorrow so that we can get everything done. Fingers crossed!

I've come to a decision on Skyrim. I'll wait a week or two, and then buy it- mainly because I probably won't have a chance to go to a shop and buy it before that... But on other game-related news; my boy got his Assassin's Creed Revelations, and I really wanna pick that up, but I still haven't finished Brotherhood, so I can't pick it up just yet! Must play more! Also, my housemate suggested the idea that what if we took a week off for Final Fantasy XIII-2, just like we took for FFXII... So tempted~
I do have to say, I dislike the Christmas period, because there's too many games coming out. Luckily I'm not that into first person shooters so I had no interest in MW3. But, I will have to buy Uncharted 3, Drake's Deception at some point, because the single player mode is very interesting. It's got a lot of things going for it- it's not just an FPS, so I'm intrigued by it. I'm not so fond of the multiplayer, as that is mainly just shooting other ppl, unless you play the adventure modes (was that what you called them?). But I think I'll wait for this one, as I'm not so excited about it as about some of the other games out now. But I will have to get it though.

The other day I was listening to music while I was sewing, and a song from the musical episode from Buffy the Vampire Slayer came on, and I was forced to put on the episode. That in turn made me put on my corset. (Tara was wearing a really pretty corset in that episode.) I have to say, unfortunately I don't wear my corset enough. Therefore, I bid thee farewell, as I go and put my pretty on!

Why do I want you so?!?!?!

(From Adsense forum help, dunno who this belongs to)

That is how I kinda feel like.
Have have this horrific urge to get Skyrim. I don't know why but I am overtly excited about the release and I want it! But the thing is, I think my desire to get it NOW is only due to the fact that it just came out, whereas it would probably be better for me to wait a couple of weeks before buying it (kinda make sure that by the time I get it, if there has been any frustrating bugs on release, they would've been fixed already), but my brains don't want to listen to my reasoning! *Cry* I am torn! And it's driving me insane!

I'm off for the wekend which (hopefully) means that I will do some dolly clothes! :3 I'm hoping to take my little corset pattern and make something nice with that. We'll see!

I've noticed on Devart another fantastic Jessica Rabbit picture. :3 I adore it when people draw her, but I really don't know why... This is my latest Mrs. Rabbit find:

Jessica Rabbit by sakimichan

It's worth checking out her other dravings as well, as she is very talented. :3

I'm off to do some crafts now! Wish me luck!

I be happy!

I love meeting dolly people! It's so nice to get to talk about dolly stuff face-to-face with people who are into the hobby! We had another Oxford dolly meet on Saturday, and it was so much fun~ I even asked the guys if they would mind helping me with this photo idea I've got- as I'd need several SD Soom dolls for that. :3 They didn't mind, so once we do a meet with lotsa Soom dollies and I've got my red ribbon, I can make my idea come true!!! *Squee* [Side note; my winamp is playing Buffy Musical- Walk Through The Fire. Awesomeness!!!] I'm just not quite sure how I'll shoot it- the dollies are huge and I'm tiny. I might need something to stand on... xD

My boy bought two new desks for our bedroom! The idea was to get me a desk so that I can sew and do stuff out of the living room (which I completely take over if I wanna do anything), but we ended up choosing a corner desk for the computer and a matching desk for my adventures. It looks AWESOME. And the even better thing? I don't have to crane my neck to look at the screen anymore! And I don't have to sit on the bed in order to use the computer! My body sends it's thank you's to the gods of comfort! (Or whatever.)

I need to translate my chocolate mousse cake recipe into english so that I can share the goodness~ The cake is absolutely delicious, but making it is a slight hassle. Not because it's hard to make, but because there is so much dishes to wash! You need to make three different chocolate layers for it, so there's a lot to do. But it tastes better than any chocolate mousse cake you'll get in a cafe or a restaurant. (Maybe the Michelin star restaurant might top this one, but any 'normal' restaurant; doesn't have a chance! x3) But what measurements should I use? Ounces, or would desilitres be fine? O.o (Why can't UK and USA just go metric? It would make things a lot easier.)

Funny thing. I made Pan a full length dress the other day, and I measured the strap to death, to make sure it's the right length. I also tried it on to make sure it's right and it was perfect. Well. Next day when I get up and put the dress on... The strap is too long!!! What the- I swear it's Pan. She decided it's not revealing enough and she did something to it. Now I have to fix it somehow so that she won't be flashing her boobs every time I move her. Bloody exhibitionist.

I've also now made an important decision regarding my dolly family- the random floating Nanuri head WILL become the 'sexy twins'. (That's what Dorian would dub them as...) It's not going to happen for a long long time, but it will happen. So I will have to hunt for a Nanuri 08 head at some point in the future. (I dread that day... xD) But yay! I think I'll make them to be mirror twins. :3 I'll give them birthmarks around their torso and maybe feet, so they'll be on the opposite sides. That's also gonna help me recognize which is which. xD

Just to not make this a text only post, here be some shots of Pan in her new dress:
