Uh Whut?

Hi! I'm back again! I will probably disappear again at some point, because that seems to be what I do...

Things have been completely dead on the dolly and crafting front in my life for the past months- I have done NOTHING relating to those two. It makes me sad, but hopefully soon I will be back to doing something, now that I am working in my 9-5 job full-time. I am still doing evening shifts a few times a week in my waitressing job, so I only have about 4 evenings off in a week. But I will have nice paychecks because of all the work, so I can't really complain too much. As I chose to work two jobs, you know...

I do have some plans, as I have become completely obsessed with Fantine's bonnet in Teddie Films' 'Dream and Shout'... I really want one for myself, but I'm thinking that first I should make one for Pan, so that I can figure out the best way to do it- the loss of fabric will be so much less for her bonnet than for mine, when I end up screwing something up.
This is 'Dream and Shout'.

I am completely obsessed with Paint's 'After Ever After'- I keep listening to it almost every day when I have the time. I have even sung Pocahontas's part to myself every now and then... I try to sing it under my breath, because other people may get slightly worried if I start singing about entrails... Mmm. Yummy.
And this here is 'After Ever After'.

Can I say how much I hate traveling on the tube with obnoxious football fans? I hate traveling with them even more than traveling with a group of really drunk women. (I know this may sound weird, with me being a woman myself, but there is nothing amusing with a group of women screaming, and laughing like a herd of horses. It gets on my nerves quite badly.) And now that I have to travel to work through Wembley, I have to travel with football fans way too often. Not what I would classify as good time...

But on a more pleasant note, I went to a friend's barbeque this weekend, and we made cocktails and had way too much food. The steaks were bigger than my face, the bowl of seafood could have satisfied about 20 people, and then there was all the other extras like burgers, lamb hearts, and a few salads. All in all, a fair amount of food for a dozen people. And then the booze- it was a cocktail party just as much a barbeque, so there was quite a bit of alcohol. All of which was necessary. Obviously. But at least we had planned who was bringing what, so we didn't end up with five bottles of Malibu but no vodka, you know? And I got to make some cocktails for other people! In an environment that wasn't work. :D (Not that I don't like making drinks at work, I just hate having to rush making them every now and then when it is very busy- not the best environment to make The Most Awesome Cocktails.)

I made my macaroni and beetroot salads for the barbeque and they seemed to go down okay- my boyfriend at least really liked the macaroni salad, and the scandi-people seemed to like my beetroot salad (the salad was trying to be similar to the one we get in Finland and Sweden, possibly also in Norway, though I am not sure about that). I really need to find the perfect beetroots for that salad though, because the two different ones I have tried so far have not been quite right. Unless I want to start boiling them myself, but I think that will just end in disaster, so I would rather avoid that... xD

Talking of beetroots, my boyfriend decided to make me some beetroot risotto, as I have never tried it. It was surprisingly good I have to say. A bit sweeter than I expected, but that was probably because the beetroots used were quite sweet. But still very good. Definitely want to have that in the future as well. And I swear, my life does not revolve around beetroots. It just happens to have been a very beetrooty week.

I think this post may have gone on a bit long, and it is quite late now, so goodnight, or good morning peeps!
