How many times can I say "I'm a bit tired", before it gets old?

I am quite beat even though it is my day off. I don't know, probably the tiredness just catches up with me on my days off, when you actually have time to think about it and do something about it... Oh well, I'm going on a holiday after this week! Time to rest! Boooyah!

I saw this thing for making a bit of a family picture of your dolly family (well just any picture with characters really), at I'm Catching Fireflies, and I decided to make a little picture relating to my dolly family/plans. :3

The site to do this at is here, but some options- really NOT work-safe.

Sooo. The picture. From left to right we have; Dorian, Eili, Mr. Manly (still don't know what his name would be), The Hot Twins (names? nooo idea again!), Little Twins (still deciding on names), Xian, and Pan.

I'm not sure how much I've said about the different realities/dimensions that my different dolly families are in- right now, there's 3-5 of them, with different rules to how things work and what is possible. I haven't quite decided if some are actually within the same reality and just unaware each other or whether they are in a completely different dimensions.

The boys would fall into the "Bread and Games" reality, but I am not quite sure if the Hot Twins are part of that reality, or if they are completely separate and have their own story lines. Though putting them into the same reality with Dorian would be quite fun, as he has a major thing for twins. Dorian and Mr. Manly are brothers by marriage, and Eili is pretty much stuck between Mr. Manly and Karu (not pictured as there was no more characters to use) in a bit of a love triangle... It's a shame how bloody young Eili looks here- he should look a bit older to be honest.

Xian dwells in the "Together Forever" reality (which may actually be the same reality as Pan's - not quite decided on that), where you have angels, demons, and magical beings. Also humans are present, but unaware of the otherworldly creatures and happenings. The pretty Angelo would be part of this reality- I just not have found a nice sculpt for her.

With the Little Twins I have no idea what is going on- what the stories relating to them are and what sort of world they live in. I just wanted the girls, and decided to get them this year. :3 I think they may be in a dimension where there is nothing but them... Because I have this vague idea of the girls being young versions of these twins that are in a coma and inside their own head/alternate reality. I HAVE NO CLUE. We'll see what happens later on.

Then we have the "Godspeed" where  gods, mythical creatures, demons, and humans live. Think of Olympus, the gods, and mythical creatures relating to it; that's what is going on in here. Pan obviously resides here, as s/he is Pan- the God of Nature.

But all said and done, most of these could possibly be folded into one reality, where the different characters just aren't aware of each other- but I'm not sure which I like more, different realities, or everything in the same one.

I got a little delivery couple of days ago from Alice's Collection~ I got the light blue eyes- I don't know if they will be better than the default grey ones I got with the dolls. They seem like they have a higher dome than the grey ones- not quite sure if that's a good thing... :/ Then I got their outfits as well! Cute! The fit is good, the only thing I don't like about them is the snap fasteners- they're plastic and right underneath the little pearly 'buttons', so they are quite hard to close and open easily. I keep thinking I will break them. :S But all in all very happy with them, though I do prefer how they look when worn backwards! I hope to take pictures some time this week!

It's getting late, and I really do need to sleep as my work week is starting tomorrow (working 'till next Saturday- wooo), so good night, day, afternoon- whatever! :D

Package from Angelesque/Dollzone!

My girls have arrived!!! So I present thee- pictures! (I know I've not updated for ages, but goddammit I've been working too much. And drinking/socialising as well, to be honest...)

Weeeee! So I bought the hoodies from Ldoll and I ordered the shoes from ebay a little while ago, but... I have no bottoms for the girls yet. Uuups. I do have an order that has been dispatched and I should be getting them an outfit and a pair of eyes soon enough.

Gotta say, I was surprised with the eyes- I wasn't expecting them, and frankly, they are a goooorgeous grey- which I thought I would have for their eye colour earlier, but then decided to go for light blue. Now...I don't know what I'm gonna do!!! I have a pair of light blue eyes coming, but I'm not sure if I will actually use them now!!! (I'll need to buy them wigs before deciding I think. Just to be sure what I want.. xD)

Seeee? Second head! I'm in the process of widening the eyes on the more open eyed Ami head so that I will have a sleeping and an open eyed version of her. :3 Gotta say, still not impressed with Dollzone on the symmetry department- Ami's eyes were opened different amounts, so even if I hadn't already decided that I needed to open her eyes, I still would have needed to fix the discrepancy. I was kinda expecting it as I know they aren't the best company for symmetry and I know from having ordered a head from them before as well. :P

And look! Iiiiit's Freddy! Whom I will need to sell off as I will have no need for him. :/ Shame, but true.

Ohmigaawd these things were so cute! I got a little pearl-matte envelope for each doll/head that I ordered! So cuuute!

:3

I had to test out what the bodies could do. Take it away girl!

Not sure if this is jumping, bug squashing, or both. Or some sorta weird intro to a dance number.

And this just looks freaky from the front with no pants/dress.

On the side, it's quite funny though.
(This did take some balancing on my part though, and I had my heart in my throat while I was taking the picture...)

So there is my two new girls, Freddy, and the bits that have already arrived for them. I am still not quite sure who I'm gonna get to paint them- I do wanna do it in the relatively near future... but I'm not sure if I will have time!!! x'O Hopefully I will have time to get Ami's eyes opened soon enough so that I can even think about sending them to get taken care of! xS

Also, names. So not sure about them. At the moment, I MAY be going for 'Halla Eleonoora' and 'Jasmiina Talvikki'... But not really sure about that. :/ Other name options are Meri, Minttu, Taru... Maybe even Orvokki, Kieli, and Sinikka. Friggin choices man. I might even have to wait until the little twins have been painted to decide if things don't seem to click before that. And I have no clue what their last name will be!!! Aaaaaaargggghhhhh~~~~~

Lyon~

So we did a little holiday to Lyon so that I could go to Ldoll at the same time! The drive there was a nightmare as we had barely any sleep the night before and we left at stupid o'clock in the morning for a drive that ended up being about 12 hours long... That was not that pleasant at all. But we made it to Lyon in one piece!

I ended up doing only Saturday at Ldoll as I figured that I should spend some time with my boyfriend as we were holidaying together... It was lovely- I saw some really pretty dolls, bought some things for my new girls, and unfortunately had no camera to take pictures with! I'm thinking that next year I will try to arrange a holiday round the next Ldoll as well. I did fall in love with a doll that I really do not need- it was Sseiren's Ideal lover girl- I don't think she is actually on their website yet- there does seems to be a photo that looks like her on the blog here. The problem I have with her is that she is the wrong size! She's MSD which is putting me a bit off as it is not a size Ireally want. :/ She was gorgeous though! And god was she limber! The body was absolutely amazing movement wise and it also looked beautiful! :3

As I said, I had no camera with me at Ldoll as my boyfriend was doing his stuff while I was at Ldoll, so he had the camera to do touristy things with... But I did get to play with the camera later on! xD

This was the cafe right next to the Cathedral- this just cracked us up!

We quickly popped into the movie museum 'lobby' and they had these miniature sets in the walls- this set was amazing! The whole set was filled with books!

And this was a teeny weeny hospital set- and you can see something a bit different in the reflection...

I gotta say, these guys were a bit random- poking out from the side of the river on a bit rusty pedestal. Bit odd. But they are lovely- I love the hands on these guys!

I really loved Lyon and the area we stayed in- we weren't in the centre, so the area wasn't that touristy and the restaurant there were great! We did walk around a lot, but we had time and walking is the best way to see a city! Can't wait to go again!

I am getting impatient to get my little girls- now I have some stuff for them and I am feeling like ordering more things that they 'need'... :3 The waiting is horrible! I think I need to turn to shopping to pass the time.

EDIT: Oh jesus, all the cheese we bought just STINKS HORRIBLY!

I really wans't the plan...

Sooo. I did end up pressing that button and now I have Ami and Ani coming home to me! At some point. :D Soooo excited! I dunno quite yet who I will be getting to do their face-ups, but I still have time! It is quite annoying though to have them be twins- meaning that I will have to buy two of absolutely EVERYTHING for them. And if I buy something that isn't right for them, I will end up with a collection of clothes etc. xD But that ain't much of a hardship, so I shouldn't complain!

I think I will be going to L-Doll this year, as I need to take holiday and we can go there by car. I've already managed to sell the idea to my boy, so he's up for going there, I just need to book some time off and book a hotel + ferry and off we go. I was thinking to leave on Friday so that we would arrive there on Friday evening and then we would have the whole weekend there, plus I think two more days after the weekend for more touristy things, because my boy won't be that interested in L-Doll, so that part of the trip won't be interesting for him. As we are taking the car, we were thinking that we should try and see if there were any other people from our area that are going there, as we are able to drive a couple of more people there with us. But we'll see what happens with that.

Oh good lord the adventure I had last night! I ended up taking care of one of my co-workers as he had drank waaay too much and we ended up getting off on the wrong tube station, so we had to take two buses and then a taxi for him. And this whole time, I had to keep him upright and lift him up whenever he decided he needed to sit down... I feel sore today!!! I am so not used to lugging around a guy my size. But, who is? O.o He better be getting me a minion for all the trouble I went through for him. xD

Anyway, I need to start getting ready for work, as I do have to go and be a waitress/bartender tonight. Not sure which I will actually be tonight. xD Oh well, toodles to all!

Meep.

It seems like I'm getting DZ's Ami and Ani. They have been in my shopping cart for a while now and I just need to press the checkout button and it's nearly done. Eeeeeeee... I'm scared to press that button!

Pizza's our middle name!

I found out about Samurai Pizza Cats yesterday. WTF? That is just so random. Not that anime isn't a bit random normally, but whaat? Cyborg Samurai Pizza Cats- that definitely makes it to my random list.

I mentioned in my previous post that I am now working about 50-60 hours a week...  I figure that I owe myself something nice for working so hard. So I was thinking to buy a proper camera. But then I was looking at BJD carrier bags today and came across a Dollzone one that seems quite roomy and okay looking (this thing here), and that got me looking at DZ Ami and Ani again. And I started looking into them, and it would come to £240 to buy them blank and with double joints. Then for the extra Ami head it would be £35. And thus my order for DZ (with the carrier) would come to £302. And I would be able to get their event head with that order. But I have no use for it, so I would end up selling it, but I have no idea which one I should get... Meh. But still, £302 for Ami & Ani, plus an extra Ami head and a carrier bag... That isn't that much. And I really want Ami and Ani. Uuuuuurgh!

My boyfriend just left for Poland and he's gonna be away for about a week. Me sad now. Because most likely I will have some problems sleeping because of that. Ugh. BUT there is good sides to this as well. Like setting up my laptop to the projector and using two screens at the same time. One of which spans over half of our wall. Oh yeah baby!!!

I don't know what to do about the camera/doll situation. So torn right now. :'C

Uh Whut?

Hi! I'm back again! I will probably disappear again at some point, because that seems to be what I do...

Things have been completely dead on the dolly and crafting front in my life for the past months- I have done NOTHING relating to those two. It makes me sad, but hopefully soon I will be back to doing something, now that I am working in my 9-5 job full-time. I am still doing evening shifts a few times a week in my waitressing job, so I only have about 4 evenings off in a week. But I will have nice paychecks because of all the work, so I can't really complain too much. As I chose to work two jobs, you know...

I do have some plans, as I have become completely obsessed with Fantine's bonnet in Teddie Films' 'Dream and Shout'... I really want one for myself, but I'm thinking that first I should make one for Pan, so that I can figure out the best way to do it- the loss of fabric will be so much less for her bonnet than for mine, when I end up screwing something up.
This is 'Dream and Shout'.

I am completely obsessed with Paint's 'After Ever After'- I keep listening to it almost every day when I have the time. I have even sung Pocahontas's part to myself every now and then... I try to sing it under my breath, because other people may get slightly worried if I start singing about entrails... Mmm. Yummy.
And this here is 'After Ever After'.

Can I say how much I hate traveling on the tube with obnoxious football fans? I hate traveling with them even more than traveling with a group of really drunk women. (I know this may sound weird, with me being a woman myself, but there is nothing amusing with a group of women screaming, and laughing like a herd of horses. It gets on my nerves quite badly.) And now that I have to travel to work through Wembley, I have to travel with football fans way too often. Not what I would classify as good time...

But on a more pleasant note, I went to a friend's barbeque this weekend, and we made cocktails and had way too much food. The steaks were bigger than my face, the bowl of seafood could have satisfied about 20 people, and then there was all the other extras like burgers, lamb hearts, and a few salads. All in all, a fair amount of food for a dozen people. And then the booze- it was a cocktail party just as much a barbeque, so there was quite a bit of alcohol. All of which was necessary. Obviously. But at least we had planned who was bringing what, so we didn't end up with five bottles of Malibu but no vodka, you know? And I got to make some cocktails for other people! In an environment that wasn't work. :D (Not that I don't like making drinks at work, I just hate having to rush making them every now and then when it is very busy- not the best environment to make The Most Awesome Cocktails.)

I made my macaroni and beetroot salads for the barbeque and they seemed to go down okay- my boyfriend at least really liked the macaroni salad, and the scandi-people seemed to like my beetroot salad (the salad was trying to be similar to the one we get in Finland and Sweden, possibly also in Norway, though I am not sure about that). I really need to find the perfect beetroots for that salad though, because the two different ones I have tried so far have not been quite right. Unless I want to start boiling them myself, but I think that will just end in disaster, so I would rather avoid that... xD

Talking of beetroots, my boyfriend decided to make me some beetroot risotto, as I have never tried it. It was surprisingly good I have to say. A bit sweeter than I expected, but that was probably because the beetroots used were quite sweet. But still very good. Definitely want to have that in the future as well. And I swear, my life does not revolve around beetroots. It just happens to have been a very beetrooty week.

I think this post may have gone on a bit long, and it is quite late now, so goodnight, or good morning peeps!
